About Sarah Rose Nickandros (She/Her)

Sarah Rose Nickandros helps adolescents, teens, and adults throughout Massachusetts navigate emotional challenges, strengthen coping skills, and build more fulfilling lives. As a therapist at LifeStance Health, she provides an affirming, collaborative space where patients can gain insight, develop practical strategies, and work toward meaningful and lasting change. Sarah specializes in treating anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns, while also helping patients address a variety of additional mental health needs.

Sarah is especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating gender identity exploration, women’s mental health concerns, and grief. She recognizes that identity development, significant life transitions, and experiences of loss can profoundly affect emotional well-being. Her approach focuses on helping patients process difficult experiences with self-compassion, build resilience, and develop a stronger sense of connection to themselves and others.

Using a personalized and evidence-based approach, Sarah incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure Therapy into treatment. She offers both individual therapy and group therapy, tailoring care to meet each patient’s goals and circumstances. In addition to her core specialties, Sarah supports individuals experiencing ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), sleep difficulties, school avoidance, and other emotional or behavioral concerns.

Sarah has experience working with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals, women, and individuals on the autism spectrum. She is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive therapeutic environment where patients feel respected, understood, and empowered to make progress at their own pace. Her clinical style balances warmth and authenticity with evidence-based therapeutic techniques designed to support long-term growth.

She earned degrees from Loyola University of Maryland and Simmons University, where she developed a strong foundation in clinical practice and person-centered care.

Outside of the therapy room, Sarah enjoys attending live music events, crocheting, exploring new restaurants and coffee shops, traveling, and training for a triathlon. She also values yoga, spending time in nature, and creating meaningful memories with family and friends. These experiences help her bring curiosity, balance, and genuine human connection to her work with patients.

Sarah is dedicated to helping adolescents, teens, and adults across Massachusetts find effective support for anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns through compassionate, individualized care.
