Specializes In:
Alison Lindquist, LCSW, LADC, CCS, is dedicated to helping individuals in Maine navigate life’s challenges with compassion, expertise, and a holistic approach to healing. Serving adults and seniors throughout the state, Alison offers individual therapy tailored to support those experiencing anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, and life transitions. With over two decades of experience, she partners with clients to create a safe, supportive space where meaningful change can occur. Alison is especially passionate about working with individuals who have experienced trauma or PTSD, whether from childhood experiences, military service, or life-altering events. Using evidence-based interventions such as EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she helps clients regain a sense of safety and control in their lives. Her trauma-informed care focuses on emotional regulation, empowerment, and building resilience, supporting clients as they heal and rediscover their strengths. In addition to trauma treatment, Alison offers specialized support for those managing anxiety and depression, as well as clients adjusting to midlife and later-life transitions. Her therapeutic approach often integrates mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and CBT for Insomnia, enabling clients to find relief and develop sustainable coping skills. Alison also serves first responders and individuals dealing with substance use, addressing these complex concerns with clinical skill and deep empathy. Outside of her clinical work, Alison finds joy and renewal through mindfulness practices, energy work, dancing, and time spent with her three pomskis. She is passionate about Pranic Healing and often incorporates mindfulness techniques into her sessions.
