Jesse Burton helps adults and older adults throughout Maine navigate emotional, relational, and life challenges with warmth, authenticity, and evidence-based therapeutic care. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy, group therapy, and intensive outpatient treatment for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use concerns, and major life transitions. Jesse is committed to creating a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel safe exploring difficult experiences while building resilience, self-awareness, and meaningful change.

Jesse is especially passionate about supporting individuals through anxiety, PTSD and trauma, relationship concerns, reproductive and postpartum mental health challenges, and transitions across different stages of life. She understands how stress, grief, identity exploration, chronic health conditions, and family dynamics can impact emotional well-being and daily functioning. Her approach integrates evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Therapy, and couples and family counseling techniques to help patients develop practical coping strategies and healthier patterns of connection.

In addition to her primary focus areas, Jesse has experience working with individuals facing obsessive-compulsive disorder, insomnia, ADHD, chronic pain concerns, substance use issues, and men’s and women’s mental health needs. She also supports members of the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, first responders, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those impacted by adoption or foster care experiences. While these are areas of expertise, she also provides care for a broad range of emotional and behavioral health concerns affecting adults across many stages of life.

Jesse has been practicing since 2012 and earned her education through University of Southern Maine. Her therapeutic style emphasizes collaboration, trust, and helping patients transform challenges into opportunities for growth and healing.

Outside of therapy, Jesse enjoys hiking, kayaking, and gardening. Spending time outdoors helps her stay grounded and reflects her belief in balance, restoration, and personal wellness.

Jesse Burton provides virtual mental health therapy services throughout Maine through LifeStance Health.
