Krista Stevens has been working in the helping profession of micro and macro practice for over 15 years. She is a fully licensed Master level therapist with a degree in clinical social work from Michigan State University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Oakland University. Krista brings professional background and lived perspective from her work in child welfare since 2011. In the clinical setting she specializes in walking alongside children and their care takers, young adults, and women in their 30’s through a trauma informed lens. She is currently focused on work with clients between 6 to 39 years of age. Current clinical focused work on depression, anxiety, grief, adjustment milestones, and childhood behavior issues. Faith-based counseling is available upon request. She also specialized in postpartum depression/anxiety and adoption issues. Krista intentionally incorporates mindfulness and grounding practices in the clinical setting in addition to meeting clients where they are at physically (in office or telehealth), emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Krista firmly believes that every individual is the expert of their situation and the keeper of their own story. It is a privilege to be invited into those spaces in an effort to aide, support and equip. Out of the office, Krista enjoys the practice of grounding and self-care through crocheting amigurumi, gardening and maintaining her backyard hobby homestead.
