Nicole Erickson, LCSW, supports individuals and families in Michigan who are navigating life’s most difficult moments with empathy, insight, and evidence-based care. Practicing at LifeStance Health, she works with children, adolescents, and adults, providing therapy that is both collaborative and deeply personalized. Nicole helps clients facing a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, childhood behavior concerns, and relationship struggles. Whether working with a teen facing school avoidance or an adult moving through a major life transition, Nicole helps clients develop tools for growth, healing, and resilience. Nicole is especially passionate about working with trauma, anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues in children and teens. She understands the impact early experiences and stressors can have on development, relationships, and emotional health. Nicole brings a calm, grounded presence to her work, helping families and young people process painful experiences, improve emotional regulation, and build healthy coping strategies. Her approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and parent-child interaction techniques to create lasting, positive change for children and the adults who care for them. In addition to her work with trauma and mood disorders, Nicole has extensive experience supporting those coping with school avoidance, grief, substance use, postpartum depression, and chronic health conditions. She serves a broad range of populations, including individuals from the LGBTQ+ community, first responders, military personnel, and those impacted by adoption or foster care. Her interventions include CBT for insomnia, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), family therapy, and faith-based treatment when desired. Nicole tailors her clinical approach to reflect each client’s values, culture, and goals. Outside of her clinical practice, Nicole enjoys staying active and grounded in nature through activities like working out, golfing, practicing archery, and deep-sea fishing. She is deeply devoted to her family—especially her three adult daughters—and finds strength in her faith, personal growth, and advocacy for systems that promote justice and compassion.
