Julie is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). She joined Family Innovations/Lifestance in 2014 and currently provides outpatient counseling with patients as well as clinical supervision services for a team of community-based mental health practitioners. Julie earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Bethel University.

Julie incorporates a person-centered approach that is both non-judgmental and compassionate. Her goal is to provide a place of safety for patients struggling with anxiety and depression; helping remove blockages so they can find hope that life can be better than they believed. Julie works to help patients discover their individual strengths; to find that person inside that is calm, curious, and connected and to build new strengths-based life scripts supporting lasting changes in their lives.

She has received training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and has extensive experience working with individuals and families that are affected by abuse and trauma. Julie enjoys working with patients across a broad range of cultural contexts; work focuses primarily on helping individuals and families to navigate relationship and communication challenges and life/work transitions.

In her spare time, Julie enjoys writing and illustrating books, and spending time with her 4-generation family.
