Jamie Lee Nelson, LPCC,
About Jamie Lee Nelson (She/Her)
Jamie Lee Nelson, LPCC, helps adults and seniors across Minnesota build resilience, improve emotional well-being, and navigate life’s challenges with compassion, practical guidance, and evidence-based care. As a therapist at LifeStance Health, she provides individual and group therapy for a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and alcohol and drug use issues, while also supporting individuals facing other emotional, behavioral, and life transition concerns. A significant focus of Jamie’s work is helping people who are struggling with substance use disorders and recovery. She understands the complex relationship between addiction, mental health, trauma, and everyday stressors, and she works collaboratively with clients to develop sustainable coping strategies and meaningful goals. Jamie is passionate about creating a supportive, judgment-free environment where people can strengthen their recovery, rebuild confidence, and create lasting positive change. Jamie also has extensive experience supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief, trauma, and major life transitions. She welcomes adults from diverse backgrounds and has experience serving members of the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, and first responders. Her therapeutic approach is tailored to each person’s needs and may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with additional evidence-based interventions. Clients appreciate Jamie’s warm, approachable style and her commitment to helping them feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. She believes that successful therapy begins with a strong therapeutic relationship and a collaborative approach that honors each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals. Outside of her clinical work, Jamie enjoys camping, fishing, gardening, painting, hiking, reading, and spending time with her family and pets. She earned her education from Concordia University and the Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies, bringing specialized knowledge of both mental health counseling and addiction treatment to her practice.
