Lauren Tenny, LPC, helps adolescents, teens, adults, and seniors across Missouri navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and emotional balance through compassionate, individualized therapy at LifeStance Health. She supports patients facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, and trauma, creating a safe, empathetic space where individuals can process their experiences and develop practical tools for lasting change.

She is especially dedicated to supporting individuals who have been recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital, recognizing the importance of consistent care and guidance during this critical transition. Lauren works closely with patients to help stabilize symptoms, rebuild daily routines, and strengthen coping strategies, with a focus on reducing the risk of relapse and promoting long-term well-being.

Lauren has a strong clinical interest in trauma-focused care and incorporates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as a key component of her work. She also utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques to help patients better understand thought patterns, regulate emotions, and improve overall functioning. She has experience supporting individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, those connected to adoption or foster care, and military or veteran populations, while also offering care for a wide range of additional mental health concerns.

Since beginning her clinical practice in 2022, Lauren has been known for her warm, supportive approach and her ability to meet patients where they are in their healing journey, fostering trust and meaningful therapeutic relationships.

Outside of her clinical work, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband, dog, and cats, reading, gaming, and connecting with others through shared interests. She is passionate about animals and values creating meaningful, empathetic connections with those around her.
