Amy Turk, MA, LPC,
About Amy Turk (She/Her)
Amy Turk helps teens, adults, and older adults throughout Missouri navigate life’s challenges with compassion, insight, and evidence-based care. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at LifeStance Health, she partners with clients to better understand themselves, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful change. Amy provides therapy for concerns such as anxiety, trauma, and depression while supporting individuals through difficult transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional stressors. She also offers additional support for a variety of mental health and behavioral health needs.
Amy is especially passionate about helping individuals impacted by anxiety, complex trauma (CPTSD), depression, and substance use concerns. She understands that these experiences can affect every aspect of a person’s life and believes healing begins with being genuinely heard and understood. Her approach is collaborative, empowering clients to identify strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward lasting emotional wellness.
Drawing from evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and EMDR, Amy tailors treatment to meet each client’s unique goals and experiences. She works with teens, adults, seniors, and couples, and has experience supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community and individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders. In addition to individual therapy, she provides couples and family therapy and offers support for a broad range of mental health concerns.
Amy’s path to becoming a therapist was shaped by a lifelong interest in understanding people and the many ways they experience the world. Her undergraduate studies in French literature, years spent living in France, and experience teaching French deepened her appreciation for human resilience, motivation, and personal growth. She is also able to provide services in French.
Outside of her clinical work, Amy enjoys spending time with her children, practicing yoga, hiking, playing with her pets, and being outdoors. These activities help her stay grounded and reflect the importance of balance and self-care that she encourages in her clients.
