Amy Alexander, LCSW,
About Amy Alexander (She/Her)
Amy Alexander, LCSW, helps adults and older adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion, clinical insight, and a practical approach to healing. At LifeStance Health, she works with patients across New Jersey who may be struggling with depression, bipolar disorder, grief, and other emotional or behavioral health concerns. Amy believes that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship, and she creates a supportive environment where individuals feel heard, respected, and empowered to move forward. Amy is particularly experienced in helping people facing depression, alcohol and drug use issues, and PTSD/trauma. She understands how these concerns can affect relationships, work, physical health, and overall well-being. Her approach is centered on helping clients build resilience, develop healthier coping strategies, and gain a deeper understanding of the patterns that may be keeping them stuck. She also provides support for individuals working through grief and life transitions, recognizing that each person’s journey is unique. Through services that may include group therapy and case management, Amy collaborates with patients to identify goals and create realistic steps toward lasting improvement. She works with adults of all stages of adulthood, including seniors, and values delivering care that is personalized to each individual’s circumstances, strengths, and aspirations. In addition to her core areas of expertise, she offers support for a range of mental health and wellness concerns. Outside of her clinical work, Amy enjoys reading, cooking, participating in community events, taking part in litter clean-up initiatives, and spending time in green spaces.
