Education Background: I am a registered Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of public school experience in the elementary classroom as well as high school guidance and counseling environment both as a counselor and Director/Supervisor. My career has been spent in public schooling where I have seen and worked with a host of students and families from a variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. My school experiences have allowed me to work with families in wide a variety of needs and circumstances. My Masters fieldwork was in a high school counseling office as well as a college admissions office.
My philosophy includes being committed to providing a safe and caring environment where people can share what they feel they need to share. I use a variety of techniques and philosophies that will help someone be confident in who they are so they can experience happiness and control within their life. Developing self-esteem and confidence is a pillar of success. I am a firm believer in mindfulness and self-care in treating the whole person. Through a variety of techniques such at Behavior Therapy, solution focused, humanistic or client centered therapy I can help a client reach their goal.
More About Me: I continue to work in a public school system and in my free time I am active in my church and enjoy spending time in the outdoors, especially camping and hiking. I have coached youth baseball and basketball for many years and look forward to time with my wife and children.
