About Kyle Herr (He/Him)

Kyle Herr helps teens, adults, and older adults throughout New York build greater emotional well-being, strengthen coping skills, and navigate life’s challenges through his work at LifeStance Health. He provides compassionate, evidence-based mental health care in a supportive environment where clients can explore their concerns openly and work toward meaningful, lasting change. Kyle commonly works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also offering support for a wide range of additional mental health conditions and life concerns. Kyle is particularly dedicated to helping people process and recover from the effects of trauma. He understands that traumatic experiences can influence relationships, self-esteem, daily functioning, and overall quality of life. Through a collaborative therapeutic relationship, he helps clients develop practical tools to manage distress, build resilience, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity. He is committed to creating a safe and affirming space where clients feel respected, understood, and empowered throughout the healing process. His therapeutic approach is personalized to each individual’s needs and goals. Kyle draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure Therapy to help clients challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and face difficult emotions with greater confidence. He provides individual therapy for teens, adults, and seniors and has experience supporting individuals with a variety of concerns, including ADHD, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), psychosis, grief, gender identity concerns, and other emotional or behavioral health challenges. Kyle believes that therapy is most effective when it is built on trust, authenticity, and genuine collaboration. His goal is to help clients gain deeper self-understanding while developing practical skills that support long-term mental health and personal growth. He earned his education from the State University of New York at Buffalo and is committed to providing thoughtful, high-quality care that reflects current best practices in the mental health field. Outside of his clinical work, Kyle enjoys movies, music, and art. He also values spending time in nature whenever possible and appreciates the perspective, creativity, and balance these interests bring to his life. These passions help inform his understanding of the many ways people find meaning, connection, and renewal.
