Gwen graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice of The City University of New York with a Master’s degree in forensic psychology and from Herbert H. Lehman College of The City of New York with a Master’s degree in special education. Gwen is certified in the state of New York as a teacher of both elementary and special education. She is also certified as an educational administrator on both the school and district levels. Gwen completed a post Master’s advanced certification in clinical mental health counseling from Medaille College in Buffalo, New York and completed a post Master’s educational administration licensure program at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams.
