Cara Anderson, LPC, is a dedicated therapist offering individual, couples, and family therapy to adolescents and adults across Ohio. She is passionate about supporting her clients through life’s challenges with empathy and evidence-based care. Cara provides a safe, nonjudgmental environment where individuals can explore their emotions, build resilience, and develop the skills needed to navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. She believes in meeting each person where they are and guiding them toward recognizing their self-worth and achieving their goals. Cara’s specialties include trauma-informed care, anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders. She also has extensive experience addressing addiction, reproductive challenges, and midlife and later-life transitions. Using therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing, she tailors her treatment plans to meet each client’s unique needs. Cara also offers CBT for insomnia and parenting skills to help clients improve their overall well-being and family dynamics.

Cara is committed to serving diverse populations, including individuals with adoption or foster care experiences, those on the autism spectrum, LGBTQ+ individuals, military members and veterans, and first responders. She has a particular passion for working with adolescents, women, and couples, helping them navigate the complexities of relationships and personal growth. Whether providing in-person therapy in Beachwood, Ohio, or virtual sessions, Cara ensures accessibility and convenience for her clients. Outside of her practice, Cara enjoys traveling, cooking, and experimenting with new recipes. She shares her home with two beloved 10-year-old cats and two playful 2-year-old puppies. These personal passions reflect her nurturing spirit and love for connection.
