About Erika Leibovitch (She/Her)
Erika Leibovitch is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Ohio who has been practicing since 2019. She has a BA in Psychology from Miami University and an MA in Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. Erika provides psychotherapy to individuals across mental health and substance use diagnoses who range in age, racial and cultural background, gender identity, and sexual orientation. In particular, Erika is passionate about working with families and empowering adolescents to tap into their existing resilience and unique strengths to help them find their identity, build self-esteem, and learn to live and navigate our ever-changing world. She also works with those struggling with anxiety, depression, body image, self-confidence issues and trauma.
Erika’s approach is tailored to each client and their personal goals/needs. Her theoretical orientation is a blend of family systems, psychodynamic, and relational with the goal of strengthening the individual or family system through building rapport and trust and providing empathy and compassion. She is also trained in Brainspotting and works with trauma survivors. Erika believes that human beings essentially have two needs in life: to be heard and understood. She helps clients learn to step into their power and provides tools to help you form meaningful relationships and build connections with others.
We all look at life through our own lens and Erika comes from a place of curiosity, compassion, and non-judgment. Erika will help you identify the challenges in your life, find creative solutions, and work towards your future goals. Then, together you’ll craft a plan of action to achieve your preferred life. Your work will result in strong tools to manage your feelings and beliefs, giving you a deep understanding of who you really are and what you really want. Asking for help can be hard and it takes a lot of bravery and guts to take that first step. Let Erika take that first step with you. You don’t have to go through this alone.
Outside of work, Erika loves to play the piano and violin. She has her Orange Belt in Krav Maga and loves to do boxing in her free time.
