Nick Rossy is a licensed Social worker with eight years of mental health treatment experience. He has three years’ experience with a crisis & suicide hotline, five years’ experience with outpatient mental health counseling. Nick utilizes principles from Acceptance and Commitment therapy to help you learn to handle painful thoughts and feelings that can get in the way of pursuing the life you want to live. He has utilized talk therapy, play therapy, and exercises in session such as thought experiments, visualizations, and mindfulness meditation to help clients better understand themselves and develop strategies to find success and happiness. Nick’s approach to treatment includes a focus on improving satisfaction and wellness in major areas of life such as overall health (diet and exercise), academic or career development, friendships and romantic partnerships, spiritual wellness and financial security. He earned both a Bachelor of Psychology and Master of Social Work from University of Cincinnati. He sees patients via telehealth and in-person, and provides individual therapy for Adults and Adolescents. His specialty areas include primarily Anxiety, Depression and Trauma disorders (PTSD) and is experienced working with those experiencing grief, addiction, relationship difficulties, chronic pain, anger, and phase of life issues such as career difficulties, and aging. Nick was born and raised in Cleveland, OH and outside of work he enjoys watching Cleveland sports, exercising, live music, camping, and time at home with his cat, Peanut.
