About Mary Barber (She/Her)

Mary Lynn Barber is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor who has been practicing since 1980. She graduated with a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling with a focus on Mental health Treatment as well as Substance Abuse issues. She furthered her education with two post master’s programs, one two-year program in Family Therapy and a two-year program at the Cincinnati Psychoanalytic Institute for advanced therapy. Her treatment philosophy is based on listening to the client and together with the client coming to an understanding of what the problems or issues are and how to proceed to address those issues using treatment methodologies that suit the problem. In her spare time, she is an avid reader of mysteries, listens to music, and has had in the past an opportunity to travel to Alaska, Europe, Scandanavia, Russia, Iceland, Greenland and Nova Scotia.
