Sarah Bursley helps adults across Ohio build stability, strengthen relationships, and move forward with confidence through compassionate, evidence-based mental health care at LifeStance Health. She works with individuals, couples, and families navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, and substance use, offering a supportive space where clients feel heard while developing practical tools for lasting change. Sarah provides individual, couples, and family therapy, and incorporates approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness, while offering additional evidence-based interventions tailored to each client’s needs.

She has a strong clinical focus on substance use and addiction recovery, mood disorders including depression and anxiety, and relationship and family counseling. Sarah is especially passionate about helping clients address co-occurring concerns, improve emotional regulation, and build healthier communication patterns. She also has experience supporting diverse populations, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, individuals with developmental disabilities, and military/veteran populations, while offering additional support to a wide range of communities.

Sarah’s approach is collaborative, relational, and grounded in authenticity. She believes meaningful progress happens through safe, trusting connections and works alongside clients to identify strengths, increase insight, and create achievable goals. Her work emphasizes both emotional understanding and skill-building, empowering clients to navigate life transitions, manage stress, and foster resilience.

She earned her graduate and undergraduate education at Kent State University and continues to expand her clinical expertise through ongoing learning and professional development.

Outside of her clinical work, Sarah enjoys creative and restorative activities such as playing Dungeons & Dragons, journaling, reading, gardening, crocheting, and engaging with music. She also values spending time outdoors with her dog, which helps her stay balanced and connected.
