Heather Thornberry, LPCC
Specializes In:
Heather Thornberry, LPCC, helps adults across Ohio navigate life’s challenges with compassionate, evidence-based mental health care at LifeStance Health. She works with individuals and couples who are facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, and trauma, providing practical tools and guidance to support emotional stability, stronger relationships, and long-term well-being. Heather offers individual therapy, couples therapy, and substance use support, tailoring treatment to each person’s unique experiences and goals. She has experience supporting diverse communities, including first responders, military members and veterans, and individuals in adoption or foster care systems.
Heather is especially passionate about working with individuals who have recently been discharged from a psychiatric hospital or who are participating in court-ordered treatment. She understands that these transitions can feel overwhelming and focuses on helping clients rebuild confidence, develop healthy coping strategies, and maintain stability during critical periods of recovery. Her goal is to provide structured, supportive care that empowers clients to move forward with clarity and resilience.
In therapy, Heather integrates proven approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and mindfulness techniques to help clients manage symptoms, process difficult experiences, and build healthier patterns of thinking and behavior. She also offers additional therapeutic approaches to support a wide range of mental health needs, including anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and relationship concerns.
Outside of her clinical work, Heather enjoys spending time with dogs and other animals, watching crime shows, learning new things, exploring technology, and staying organized. She also appreciates warm weather and values opportunities to help others feel truly heard and understood.
