Michele Fischer, MSW, LISW-S,
About Michele Fischer (She/Her)
Michele Fischer is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Ohio who has been practicing since 1989. She has a BS in Psychology and an MSW. Michele specializes in TF-CBT, and Psychotherapy for Depressive Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, and Posttraumatic Stress DO. Clients she accepts can be children, adolescents and adults, individuals, or families. Life can be difficult, especially when going through change. Michele would like to help guide your mental health journey so you can learn how to manage the challenges life throws more successfully at you. She can help you express and understand their emotions, while also assisting you to identify your values. Together you and Michele can lay everything out, organize what really matters according to your values, and then plan for behavioral and thought changes that will help you to experience healing, growth, and fuller happiness in your life. Michele often uses cognitive therapy and trauma-focused CBT to guide through the issues you are facing and help you to see things through a different lens. You will regain a sense of empowerment, and together, along with God’s power and scriptures, you can break down the barriers you feel in life. Michele wants to work in collaboration with you as her client, because she trusts that you will know yourself (or have the potential to know yourself) better than anyone else, working collaboratively without pushing, without pathologizing, and without retraumatizing. In her spare time, Michele enjoys spending time with family and especially her adult children. She likes hiking, playing games like Sudoku and Rummikub, reading, going to church and Christian music.
