Ronald Henderson, LPCC-S
Cory Henderson helps children, teens, adults, and older adults throughout Ohio build healthier coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence and support. At LifeStance Health, he provides individual therapy for concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and mood-related disorders. Cory is committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel respected, understood, and empowered to make meaningful and lasting changes in their lives.
Cory is especially passionate about supporting individuals who have recently been discharged from a psychiatric hospital, as well as those participating in court-ordered treatment. He understands that these experiences can feel overwhelming, isolating, or intimidating, and he works collaboratively with clients to help them regain stability, strengthen accountability, and move forward with greater confidence and emotional resilience. His therapeutic approach focuses on meeting clients where they are while helping them develop practical tools to support long-term mental wellness and personal growth.
Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and additional evidence-based interventions, Cory tailors treatment to each client’s individual needs and goals. He has experience working with children and teens experiencing behavioral challenges and school avoidance, adults managing trauma and anxiety, and individuals coping with bipolar disorder, substance use concerns, grief, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Cory also works with members of the LGBTQ+ community, individuals with developmental disabilities, military veterans, first responders, and many other populations seeking compassionate and structured mental health support.
Since beginning his clinical practice in 1999, Cory has remained dedicated to helping clients better understand emotional patterns, strengthen coping skills, and improve their overall quality of life. He earned his education from the University of Pittsburgh and continues to use a trauma-informed and collaborative approach in his clinical work.
Outside of therapy, Cory enjoys staying active and spending time both indoors and outdoors. He spends much of his free time working on home improvement projects, landscaping, yardwork, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle through regular exercise. He also enjoys spending time with friends and family, attending social events, and relaxing outdoors. One of his favorite ways to unwind is spending time with his Golden Retriever, Carter.
