About Amy Huffer (She/Her)

Amy Huffer is dedicated to helping teens, adults, and older adults navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being. As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy to patients throughout Ohio, offering compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each person’s unique experiences and goals. Since beginning her clinical practice in 2017, Amy has worked with individuals facing anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns, helping them build practical skills for lasting growth and healing.

Amy has a particular passion for supporting individuals who are working through the effects of PTSD and trauma. She recognizes that traumatic experiences can affect every aspect of a person’s life, including relationships, self-esteem, physical health, and daily functioning. Through a thoughtful and personalized approach, she helps patients process difficult experiences, develop healthy coping strategies, and move toward recovery with a renewed sense of hope and empowerment.

Her therapeutic style combines clinical expertise with genuine empathy. Amy utilizes interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Christian Counseling when appropriate to meet the needs and preferences of her patients. In addition to treating anxiety, depression, and trauma-related conditions, she has experience supporting individuals connected to adoption and foster care and offers additional therapeutic approaches to address a wide range of mental health concerns.

Amy believes that meaningful therapy begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and collaboration. She works alongside each patient to identify strengths, overcome obstacles, and create achievable goals that support long-term emotional wellness and personal growth.

Outside of her clinical work, Amy enjoys reading and has a strong interest in neuroscience and psychology. Her curiosity about how the brain, behavior, and emotions interact continues to inform her work and deepen her understanding of the healing process.
