David Crockett, LPC,
About David Crockett
David Crockett helps teens, adults, and older adults develop the skills and insight needed to navigate life’s challenges, improve emotional well-being, and build lasting resilience. At LifeStance Health, he provides therapy to individuals throughout Oklahoma who are seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns. David believes effective therapy begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and collaboration, allowing clients to move toward meaningful and sustainable change. David has extensive interest in helping individuals facing alcohol and drug use issues, as well as those coping with the emotional impact of substance use on their lives, relationships, and overall well-being. He works with clients to better understand the factors contributing to unhealthy patterns, develop practical coping strategies, and create a path toward recovery and personal growth. His approach emphasizes both accountability and compassion, helping individuals identify strengths they can use to move forward with confidence. In addition to his work with substance use concerns, David supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also providing care for additional mental health needs. He has a particular appreciation for helping individuals navigate major life transitions, including midlife changes, later-life adjustments, grief, and other significant personal challenges. He understands that periods of transition can bring uncertainty, but they can also become opportunities for reflection, healing, and growth. David incorporates evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each person’s goals and circumstances. His work may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), along with additional clinical interventions when appropriate. Through individual therapy, group therapy, and intensive outpatient services, he helps clients build practical tools to manage symptoms, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen overall mental wellness. His educational background includes studies at Western Oregon University, where he developed the foundation for his career as a Licensed Professional Counselor. He remains committed to providing thoughtful, client-centered care that recognizes the unique experiences and strengths of every individual. Outside of his clinical work, David enjoys biking and walking, activities that support balance, wellness, and time spent outdoors.
