Cate Patterson, MSS, LCSW
Catherine Patterson, LCSW, helps children, teens, and adults in Pennsylvania find strength, healing, and resilience through compassionate, evidence-based care. She works with individuals and families who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, and childhood behavior issues, creating a safe and supportive environment where each person can feel heard and understood. Catherine provides therapy that not only addresses immediate struggles but also empowers clients to develop lifelong coping skills that promote overall well-being.
She is especially passionate about supporting individuals facing mental health concerns and the impact these challenges have on both individuals and their families. By combining structured therapeutic techniques with a compassionate and nonjudgmental approach, Catherine guides clients toward recovery, personal growth, and healthier patterns of living. This focus reflects her deep commitment to helping people overcome the obstacles that keep them from living the lives they want.
At LifeStance Health, Catherine offers individual and family therapy. She draws on a variety of interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, parenting skills, and faith-based treatment when it aligns with her clients’ needs and values. She also has experience providing specialized support for populations such as adoption, military service members and veterans, women, and first responders. In addition to these focus areas, Catherine offers care for a broad range of other concerns, tailoring treatment to each person’s unique situation.
Outside of her clinical work, Catherine is actively involved in firefighting and EMS, which enriches her ability to support first responders who may be struggling with stress, trauma, or identity challenges. She also enjoys puzzles, crafts, building with Legos, playing games, hiking, watching sports, and spending time outdoors with her family and dogs. Tennis is one of her favorite activities to stay active and engaged.
