Heidi Hughes, LPC Heidi has lived in Bucks County, Pa the majority of her childhood and adult life; minus a few years in the Pittsburgh, PA area. Her education focused primarily on Psychology (Counseling) , Cultural Anthropology, Marriage & Family Therapy and Music. Now, as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) with Problem Gambling endorsement, she puts her years of professional training to use helping people cope with Co-Occurring issues and Marriage, Couples & Family. She has held numerous positions over the years such as administrator in a large non-profit community-based mental health center, board member of Bucks County NAMI and clinician working with First Responders and Military, individuals with trauma and individuals with life-threatening illnesses. Working in multiple levels of care such as psychiatric hospitals and crisis units has helped set the stage for understanding treatment options for individuals. De-stigmatizing mental illness, having compassion for the human condition and helping people find peace with themselves is Heidi’s general professional mission. Heidi enjoys spending time with her family and playing with their menagerie of pets, camping and cooking. Gardening and animals are her most rewarding hobby.
