About Amy Ferreira (She/Her)

Amy Ferreira helps children, adolescents, teens, and adults build the skills and confidence needed to navigate life’s challenges while fostering lasting emotional well-being. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at LifeStance Health, she provides compassionate, evidence-based therapy for patients across Rhode Island. Amy works collaboratively with individuals and families facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD, creating personalized treatment plans that support growth, resilience, and meaningful change. Amy is particularly passionate about helping children and teens who are struggling with behavioral concerns, emotional regulation, and the effects of trauma. She understands that early intervention can have a profound impact on a young person’s development and overall well-being. Through a supportive and engaging therapeutic approach, she partners with children, parents, and caregivers to strengthen relationships, improve communication, and create healthier patterns both at home and in daily life. Drawing on a range of therapeutic techniques, Amy incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and mindfulness-based strategies to help patients develop practical coping skills and process difficult experiences. She provides individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy, and also offers support for additional concerns and treatment needs. Her approach is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and a commitment to helping each patient feel heard, understood, and empowered. Amy’s professional foundation includes studies at Johnson & Wales University and Boston College. Her experience working with diverse age groups allows her to tailor treatment to the unique developmental, emotional, and psychological needs of each patient. Outside of her clinical work, Amy enjoys spending time with her family, boating, reading, and sharing her passion for wellness as a certified 200-hour yoga instructor. Her interest in mindfulness and whole-person well-being complements the care she provides in therapy.
