About Chanelle Gonzalez (She/Her)
Chanelle Gonzalez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Rhode Island who has been practicing since 2021. The core values that inform Chanelle’s treatment approach are empathy, equity, sensitivity, advocacy, and her humanistic approach, to see everyone as a whole person. The treatment approaches Chanelle likes to use when working with clients are traditional CBT and Acceptance and Commitment therapy to help externalize their emotions. Motivational interviewing is another method she uses to help clients to maintain motivation for treatment and focusing on the client’s strengths. People have the power to change but Chanelle meets the clients where they are. There are connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and that assessment is ongoing with clients. Outside of work, Chanelle’s hobbies are reading, traveling, watching shows and shopping!
