About Eric Flyg (He/Him)
Eric Flyg helps adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion, practical strategies, and a focus on meaningful growth. Serving patients throughout Texas through LifeStance Health, he provides individual therapy for concerns such as anxiety, depression, and trauma, helping clients build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and move toward healthier, more fulfilling lives. A significant area of Eric’s work is supporting individuals experiencing transitions and personal challenges across different stages of life. He has experience helping clients address childhood behavior concerns, later-life transitions, and midlife transitions while also supporting those navigating grief, relationship difficulties, and emotional stress. His approach is collaborative and tailored to each individual’s goals, recognizing that every person’s path to healing is unique. Eric is especially passionate about helping clients facing anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma. He works alongside patients to better understand the impact of difficult experiences, develop healthy coping strategies, and foster lasting emotional wellness. He also supports individuals living with bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and other mental health concerns, offering additional areas of expertise to meet a wide range of therapeutic needs. His therapeutic style integrates evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while also offering Christian Counseling and faith-based treatment for those who wish to incorporate their spiritual beliefs into therapy. Eric also has experience working with first responders and other individuals facing high-stress environments. Eric has been practicing since 2014 and holds degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary and Southern Methodist University. He is committed to creating a welcoming, respectful environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout the counseling process. Outside of his professional work, Eric enjoys travel, spending time with his dog, working out, riding roller coasters, learning magic tricks, and exploring his passion as a car enthusiast.
