I began my journey as a therapist at Community Mental Health in a rural town in Arkansas after earning my Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2004. For eight years, I worked with marginalized populations, many of whom had experienced trauma and abuse. My work included outpatient therapy and two years in a residential program for chronically and seriously mentally ill adults under court-ordered care. This experience allowed me to work with individuals of all ages in a variety of settings, including individual, family, couples, and group therapy, often addressing crises.

In 2013, I transitioned to private practice in the DFW area, where I now focus exclusively on individual therapy for clients aged 15 and older. I work with adolescents and adults on issues including anxiety, depression, grief, work stress, and neurodivergence. I have a particular passion for working with women’s issues, including self-esteem, relationship challenges, work-life balance, parenting, caregiving, trauma recovery, reproductive and sexual health, body image, and navigating life transitions like divorce or menopause. I aim to provide a safe, supportive space for clients to explore and work through these challenges.

I have extensive experience working with LGBTQ individuals and have worked with transgender clients before, during, and after transition. Additionally, I have experience working with clients in non-traditional lifestyles, including but not limited to polyamory and open marriages. My approach is affirming, non-judgmental, and tailored to meet the unique needs of every individual I work with.

In addition to therapy, I have experience assisting clients with navigating practical challenges in their lives. I am skilled in helping individuals get approval for emotional support animals, short- and long-term work benefits (excluding Worker’s Compensation), and ADA accommodations at work. My goal is to empower clients, not only emotionally but also by advocating for their rights and well-being in the workplace and beyond.
