Laurie Baker helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and seniors navigate emotional, behavioral, and life challenges with compassion, clinical expertise, and a personalized approach to care. Through LifeStance Health, she serves patients throughout Texas, providing therapy that empowers individuals and families to build resilience, strengthen relationships, and achieve meaningful progress. Laurie works with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and trauma, while also supporting clients facing ADHD, grief, school avoidance, and other mental health challenges. Laurie is especially passionate about helping children, adolescents, and families overcome emotional and behavioral difficulties that may interfere with success at home, school, and within relationships. She recognizes the importance of early intervention and enjoys working collaboratively with caregivers to create supportive environments that foster healthy development. Her approach helps young clients develop coping skills, emotional awareness, and confidence while strengthening family connections and communication. In addition to working with children and families, Laurie provides support for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns. She utilizes evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients process difficult experiences, develop healthier thought patterns, and improve emotional regulation. She also offers additional therapeutic approaches tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. Laurie has experience working with diverse populations, including individuals in foster and adoptive families, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and those with autism spectrum disorders. She also provides support for clients managing developmental disabilities, substance use concerns, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and other complex mental health conditions. Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping clients create lasting, positive change. She earned her education from Utica College of Syracuse University and the State University of New York at Albany. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Laurie is committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based mental health care that supports the whole person and promotes long-term well-being. Outside of her professional work, Laurie enjoys volleyball, football, reading, crafting, spending time with friends and family, and caring for animals. These interests reflect the balance, connection, and creativity she encourages clients to cultivate in their own lives.
