Specializes In:
Michelle Whetstone is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor who helps clients across Texas build healthier lives by addressing emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges through a warm, collaborative, and results-oriented approach. Practicing at LifeStance Health, she works with children, teens, adults, and seniors, offering individual, couples, and family therapy tailored to each person’s needs. Michelle is deeply committed to helping clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change in their lives. Michelle is especially passionate about supporting individuals navigating the complexities of trauma, anxiety, and substance use issues. She uses a range of evidence-based interventions—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and Mindfulness—to guide clients through healing from painful experiences, manage overwhelming emotions, and reconnect with a sense of purpose and clarity. She also provides compassionate support for those dealing with post-partum depression or anxiety, midlife transitions, and chronic stress linked to health or life circumstances. Her experience extends to a variety of populations including individuals on the autism spectrum, those with developmental disabilities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals with military or first responder backgrounds. Michelle also works with families navigating adoption or foster care, and with couples facing communication breakdowns, trust issues, or life stage transitions. She offers additional support for concerns such as depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and school avoidance. Outside of her clinical work, Michelle enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her family and dogs. She has recently completed the 3-year training to become a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner.
