Hope Robinson, MS, LPC
Specializes In:
Hope Robinson is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia who has been practicing since 2022. She has a B.S. in Psychology from Valdosta State University and an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. Hope offers crisis stabilization and safety planning for clients who struggle with emotional dysregulation, depression and suicidal ideation, anxiety, and anger. She works with families experiencing recurrent parent/child, sibling, multi-generational conflict, and disturbances. Hope has more than eight years working with youth in inpatient treatment, residential, and outpatient settings overcoming low self-worth, substance abuse/misuse, lack of motivation, and self-advocacy. Most of her experience as a therapist and direct support staff have been with adolescents ages 12-17 years-old, however, Hope worked often with adults with dual diagnosis receiving group and individual session through PHP and IOP settings. Hope has done local and international outreach initiatives for Samaritan’s Purse, Christian Family Adoption Aide, and Iris Global Missions. She has also volunteered in community shelters and prepped emergency packs at community food banks. She is passionate about providing education to others on the need to address mental health concerns in the local community as a primary public health issue. Hope would like to see more mental health therapists and programs in public schools to provide emotional support to students and teachers struggling in the public school setting.
