Donovan Holloway is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia since 2021. After obtaining his MSW from George Mason University he worked in the ER for Northern Virginia’s largest hospital system where he worked with a wealth of clients who were experiencing everything from mental health crises, experiences due to socioeconomic status, substance use, and legal issues. After working in the ER he moved to an intensive outpatient adolescent treatment program in Tysons Corner where he worked with teens and their families providing group therapy, individual therapy, and family therapy. Moving to outpatient Donovan hopes to bring his wealth of experiences and knowledge to helping his clients. A proponent of the Mind Body connection Donovan utilizes multiple different therapeutic techniques to help his clients through a multifaceted approach to best serve his clients including but not limited to: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), emotional freedom technique (EFT) for emotional upsets and pain management, SMART recovery for addictive behaviors, and aspects of somatic experience therapy. Donovan enjoys working with Military Service Members and their families, First Responders, Teens and their families, and Men dealing with impacts of mental health. Donovan believes that as a clinician his role is to help empower clients to get through difficult and tough times through a partnership in the therapy setting.
