JoCetta Dennis, LPC, helps teens, young adults, and adults build resilience, gain clarity, and navigate life’s challenges with compassion and evidence-based care. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at LifeStance Health, she provides therapy for individuals, couples, and families across Virginia. JoCetta works collaboratively with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma, creating a supportive space where they can develop practical coping skills, strengthen relationships, and move toward meaningful personal growth. A particular area of passion for JoCetta is supporting clients who are navigating college and career transitions, religious deconstruction, and spiritual trauma. She understands that changes in identity, beliefs, purpose, and life direction can be deeply complex experiences. Through a thoughtful and nonjudgmental approach, she helps clients process these transitions, explore their values, and develop a stronger sense of self while building confidence for the future. JoCetta also has experience working with ADHD, couples’ concerns, and grief, while offering support for a variety of additional mental health needs. She works with teens and adults from diverse backgrounds, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, and those involved in adoption or foster care experiences. Her therapeutic approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Couples/Marital Counseling, while incorporating additional evidence-based interventions when clinically appropriate. Since beginning her clinical practice in 2021, JoCetta has helped clients address emotional, relational, and behavioral challenges with a focus on lasting change. She believes that effective therapy balances compassion with practical strategies, empowering clients to better understand themselves and navigate life with greater confidence and purpose. Outside of her professional work, JoCetta enjoys traveling, playing pickleball, and exploring Latin social dancing.
