I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Child Mental Health Specialist with 20+ years experience in the mental health field. I am dedicated to providing quality therapeutic care and support to adults that are experiencing life challenges and psychological issues. Through telehealth, I work with individuals regarding relationships, life/family transitions, parenting support, grief and loss, stress/anger management, anxiety, depression, trauma, and abuse. I embrace a Person-Centered approach to therapy, in that I believe people have a remarkable capacity for growth and change when support is provided in a compassionate, safe, and nonjudgmental environment. It is my hope that you experience therapy as that safe place to engage in meaningful self-exploration of thoughts/beliefs, feelings, and behaviors. My therapeutic style is warm, interactive, and collaborative, with a little bit of humor when appropriate. I draw heavily on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to identify and change destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on emotions and behavior. I also find value in exploring one's family of origin, which is where we typically learn to become who we are. My goal is to create an environment in which you feel understood and supported. Together we will explore and identify challenges you are experiencing and develop treatment goals designed to help you achieve the positive changes you are seeking.
