Ann Born, LMHC, MA,
About Ann Born (She/Her)
Ann Born helps adults and older adults navigate emotional challenges with compassion, clinical expertise, and practical strategies for lasting change. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for patients across Washington, supporting those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma. Her approach is grounded in creating a safe, collaborative environment where clients can better understand their experiences, build resilience, and work toward meaningful personal goals. A significant focus of Annâs work is helping individuals heal from trauma and its lasting effects. She understands that traumatic experiences can impact relationships, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and overall well-being. Using evidence-based approaches, she helps clients process difficult experiences, reduce distressing symptoms, and develop healthier ways of coping. She is passionate about helping people move beyond survival mode and create lives that feel more balanced, fulfilling, and connected. Ann tailors treatment to each personâs unique needs and strengths. Her therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), while also drawing from additional evidence-based interventions when appropriate. She works with adults facing a wide range of mental health concerns and offers additional therapeutic services to support comprehensive care. Before entering the counseling profession, Ann developed a deep appreciation for the complexity of human experiences and the importance of understanding different perspectives. She earned her degree from Liberty University and continues to value lifelong learning as an essential part of providing effective mental health care. Outside of her clinical work, Ann enjoys exploring new ways to solve lifeâs challenges and is genuinely interested in understanding how people think, grow, and overcome obstacles. This curiosity and commitment to learning help shape the thoughtful and individualized care she provides to her clients.
