Samantha Hobbs, LMHC,
About Samantha Hobbs (She/Her)
Samantha Hobbs helps children, adolescents, teens, and young adults across Washington overcome emotional and behavioral challenges while building the skills needed to thrive at home, in school, and in their relationships. As a therapist with LifeStance Health, she provides a supportive and collaborative environment where patients feel understood, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes. Samantha works with individuals experiencing anxiety, ADHD, and depression, tailoring treatment to each person’s unique strengths, goals, and life circumstances. With more than 20 years of experience in the mental health field, Samantha is especially passionate about helping young people navigate the complexities of childhood and adolescence. She has extensive experience supporting patients facing childhood behavior issues, school avoidance, and the emotional impact of stressful or traumatic experiences. Samantha understands that challenges during these formative years can affect confidence, family relationships, academic performance, and overall well-being. Her goal is to help young people develop resilience, improve emotional regulation, and create positive pathways for growth. Samantha utilizes evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions. Her therapeutic style is practical, compassionate, and focused on helping patients gain tools they can use in everyday life. In addition to her primary specialties, she provides support for concerns such as obsessive-compulsive disorder, grief, sleep difficulties, and other mental health needs. She also has experience working with individuals from foster care and adoption backgrounds as well as members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Samantha earned her degrees from the University of Wyoming and the University of Phoenix. Her broad clinical background allows her to effectively support patients through a variety of emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns while maintaining a strong focus on individualized care. Outside of her professional work, Samantha enjoys spending time outdoors camping, hiking, and walking. She is an avid soccer fan who loves watching her son play and cheering for the Seattle Sounders and other professional teams. Time with family and friends is especially important to her and serves as a source of connection, balance, and renewal.
