Caitlin Ryan, MSW, LICSW,
About Caitlin Ryan (She/Her)
Caitlin Ryan helps teens and adults throughout Washington navigate emotional challenges, strengthen relationships, and build lasting resilience through compassionate, evidence-based therapy. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at LifeStance Health, she works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma, while also supporting a wide range of additional mental health concerns. Caitlin’s approach is collaborative, engaging, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when clients feel understood, supported, and empowered. A central focus of Caitlin’s work is helping clients better understand the connection between relationships, the brain, and emotional well-being. She has a particular passion for relational neuroscience and interpersonal neurobiology, using these perspectives to help individuals make sense of patterns in emotions, behaviors, and relationships. She also enjoys supporting people through life transitions, including midlife transitions and reproductive or postpartum challenges. By exploring how life experiences shape the nervous system and relationships, Caitlin helps clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and healthier connections with others. Caitlin tailors treatment to each individual’s needs, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based practices. She works with clients to identify strengths, navigate obstacles, and create practical strategies for managing symptoms and achieving personal goals. In addition to her primary areas of expertise, she provides support for a variety of other mental health concerns and life challenges. She earned her degrees from Fordham University and Walden University, where she developed the clinical foundation that informs her thoughtful and client-centered approach to care. Outside of the therapy office, Caitlin enjoys board games, puzzles, and recently began playing rugby. She is also a fan of The Office and Parks and Recreation and appreciates the role that humor can play in building connection, perspective, and resilience.
