Amy Kuhagen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 25 years of experience providing trauma-informed therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. At Lifestance Health, she offers individual and family therapy focused on resilience, coping skills, and emotional regulation. She treats anxiety, ADHD, depression, grief, trauma, and behavioral challenges, and supports clients through stress, life transitions, mood changes, and relationship concerns.

Amy is especially passionate about working with children and teens ages 4–18 and those in caregiver and parenting roles, while also supporting adults across the lifespan. Her experience includes working with LGBTQ+ individuals, adoption and foster care–related needs, and transitions from inpatient care.

She creates a safe, trusting therapeutic environment using a culturally responsive, strengths-based approach that integrates CBT, mindfulness, and person-centered care. With youth, she often uses play and expressive therapies such as art, games, journaling, music, and sand tray. Outside of work, Amy enjoys traveling, gardening, reading, biking, hiking, family game nights, and watching the Bucks.
