About Margaret M Bayer (She/Her)

Margaret M. Bayer, LCSW, helps adults find steadiness during life’s most challenging seasons, whether they are coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, or significant life transitions. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with LifeStance Health, she provides individual and group therapy to patients throughout Wisconsin. Her therapeutic style is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing begins when people feel truly heard, understood, and supported. Margaret has experience helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also supporting those navigating grief, sleep difficulties, chronic health conditions, and other emotional challenges. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and faith-based treatment when appropriate, she tailors care to each person’s goals, values, and circumstances. She also offers support in additional specialty areas to meet the diverse needs of her clients. A meaningful focus of Margaret’s work is helping individuals navigate midlife and later life transitions. Whether a person is adjusting to changes in health, relationships, caregiving responsibilities, retirement, or a new stage of life, she provides a compassionate space to process uncertainty and build resilience. She is passionate about helping clients rediscover purposes, strengthen coping skills, and move forward with greater confidence and emotional well-being. Margaret understands that mental health is closely connected to physical health, personal identity, and life experiences. She works alongside clients to explore patterns that may be contributing to distress while identifying practical strategies for growth and healing. Her approach balances clinical expertise with genuine curiosity and respect for each individual’s story. She earned her graduate education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and completed her undergraduate studies at St. Norbert College. Throughout her career, she has remained committed to helping people create meaningful, lasting changes in their lives. Outside of her practice, Margaret enjoys reading, spending time in nature, watching films, cooking, and baking.
