About Michelle Bourdo (She/Her)
Michelle Bourdo, LPC, ATR-BC, helps adults throughout Wisconsin navigate emotional challenges and deepen self-understanding. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy with a compassionate, person-centered approach that honors each client’s unique experiences and strengths. A distinctive aspect of Michelle’s practice is her integration of Art Therapy into the therapeutic process. She is passionate about helping individuals use creativity as a pathway to self-expression, healing, and personal growth. Michelle incorporates evidence-based treatments including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Exposure Therapy, while tailoring care to everyone’s needs and goals. In addition to anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns, she provides support for a range of behavioral health conditions, including ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders, grief, life transitions, and other mental health challenges. She has experience working with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals, first responders, and individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, while also offering support for additional concerns affecting emotional well-being. Michelle believes that therapy should be both supportive and empowering. She strives to create a welcoming environment where clients feel safe exploring challenges, building personal strengths, and developing tools for long-term growth. Her approach emphasizes authenticity, curiosity, and collaboration, helping clients move toward lives that feel more balanced, fulfilling, and aligned with their values. She earned her degrees from Carroll University and Mount Mary University, building a strong foundation in counseling and therapeutic care. Outside of her clinical work, Michelle enjoys expressing her creativity through art and spending time outdoors. She loves gardening, swimming at the beach, hiking, and camping.
