Hi, I’m James Zoeller, LSW. I work with adolescents, teens, and adults across Illinois who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, school avoidance, and major life transitions. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

I’m especially passionate about helping individuals transition back to everyday life after a psychiatric hospitalization. These periods can feel overwhelming, and I focus on helping patients build stability, strengthen coping skills, and regain confidence as they move forward.

My approach is compassionate, practical, and tailored to your unique needs. I incorporate evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness to help you better manage emotions, develop healthier thought patterns, and build resilience. I have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, veterans, and individuals with autism spectrum disorders.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through hiking, camping, skiing, water sports, and working out. I also enjoy reading, documentaries, and spending time with friends and family playing video, card, and board games. I believe maintaining balance and meaningful connections is an important part of overall well-being, and I strive to bring that same perspective into my work with patients.

James Zoeller provides services with supervision.
