About Shannon Bailey (She/Her)

Shannon Bailey, LPC, helps teens, adults, and older adults build resilience, improve relationships, and navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and clarity. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at LifeStance Health, she provides individual, couples, and family therapy for clients throughout Illinois. Shannon creates a welcoming, collaborative space where clients feel genuinely heard and supported while working toward meaningful emotional growth and improved mental wellness. Shannon has a special interest in helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, and trauma. She understands that emotional struggles can affect every aspect of daily life, from relationships and work to physical health and self-esteem. Using evidence-based therapy approaches, she partners with clients to identify obstacles, develop effective coping strategies, and create lasting change. In addition to these areas, she supports clients experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns and life transitions. Working with teens, adults, and seniors, Shannon also has experience helping individuals with ADHD, bipolar disorder, and relationship challenges, while offering support for additional concerns such as grief, school avoidance, reproductive challenges, and midlife transitions. She is committed to affirming and inclusive care and has experience working with members of the LGBTQ+ community. Her therapeutic approach may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), along with additional interventions tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. Shannon believes therapy is most effective when it honors the whole person. She takes time to understand each client’s background, strengths, values, and personal experiences, helping them develop greater self-awareness while building practical skills for everyday life. Her experience providing individual, couples, and family therapy allows her to support clients across a variety of settings and circumstances. She earned her education from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Outside of her clinical work, Shannon enjoys gaming, baking new recipes, solving puzzles and escape rooms, watching movies and television shows, and creating lasting memories with friends and family.

Shannon Bailey provides services with supervision.
