About Julia Meola (She/Her)
Julia Meola helps young adults navigate emotional challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful change through a supportive and collaborative therapeutic experience, at LifeStance Health. As a counselor associate, she provides individual therapy for patients throughout New Jersey, working with young adults who are seeking effective treatment for concerns such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD. Her approach focuses on helping individuals better understand themselves, develop practical coping skills, and move toward their personal goals with confidence. Julia believes that therapy should be a space where people feel genuinely heard, respected, and empowered. She works closely with clients to identify the factors contributing to emotional distress while building on their existing strengths. Drawing from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based strategies, she tailors treatment to each person’s unique needs. In addition to her core specialties, she offers support for a variety of other mental health concerns, including grief, bipolar disorder, PTSD and trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and school avoidance. Julia is particularly passionate about helping individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and ADHD. She understands how these conditions can affect relationships, academics, work performance, self-esteem, and overall well-being. Her goal is to help clients gain a deeper understanding of their experiences while developing practical tools to manage symptoms, improve daily functioning, and build a greater sense of balance and fulfillment. She values a compassionate, nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship and strives to create an environment where clients feel safe exploring challenges and celebrating progress. Outside of her clinical work, Julia enjoys spending time in nature and by the water, often bringing her dogs along on her adventures. She also enjoys exploring her creative side through art classes, doing her nails, and creating specialty coffee and matcha beverages. These personal interests reflect her appreciation for mindfulness, creativity, and the importance of maintaining balance in everyday life. Julia earned her education through The College of New Jersey and is committed to providing thoughtful, client-centered mental health care.
