About Ashley Hershberger (She/Her)
Ashley Hershberger helps children, adolescents, teens, and adults navigate emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges with practical support, compassionate guidance, and evidence-based therapy. At LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for patients across Pennsylvania, helping clients build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and make meaningful progress toward their personal goals. Ashley frequently works with individuals experiencing anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD/trauma, while also supporting those facing depression, school-related difficulties, and other mental health concerns. Ashley is particularly passionate about helping children and teens overcome behavioral challenges, school avoidance, and emotional struggles that can interfere with daily life and development. She understands that mental health concerns often affect not only the individual but also their family, relationships, and academic success. By creating a supportive and collaborative therapeutic environment, she helps young people and their families develop tools that promote confidence, emotional regulation, and healthy functioning both at home and in school. Her approach is trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, and tailored to each client’s unique strengths and needs. Ashley incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and parenting skills interventions to help clients better understand patterns of thinking and behavior while developing effective strategies for change. She has experience working with members of the LGBTQ+ community, individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, and those with developmental disabilities. In addition to her primary areas of expertise, she provides support for a broad range of mental health concerns and life challenges. Ashley believes that successful therapy begins with a genuine therapeutic connection built on trust, respect, and acceptance. She strives to create a welcoming space where clients feel comfortable exploring difficult emotions, processing life experiences, and developing practical skills that support long-term well-being. Whether working with a child struggling in school, a teen managing anxiety, or an adult navigating life’s challenges, she focuses on helping clients move toward healthier and more fulfilling lives. She earned her education and clinical training through Lock Haven University, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, and Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania. Since beginning her clinical practice in 2018, Ashley has remained committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health care. Outside of her professional work, Ashley enjoys crafts and DIY projects, reading, working on puzzles, drawing and other creative activities, and collecting comic books and graphic novels. These interests reflect her appreciation for creativity, curiosity, and lifelong learning.
