Nonbinary Trans Affirming” to “LGBTQI+ Teen Affirming
Group Overview:
The goals are to increase coping skills with self-confidence and acceptance, gender identity, bullying, misgendering, and exploring feelings of coming out in a psychoeducational and therapeutic support setting. Additionally, the group will provide encouragement to explore feelings and coping techniques around fear, anxiety, or other concerns. We will explore friends, family, community support, and linkage to referrals to natural and logical supports (e.g., The Rainbow Collective and LGBTQI+ drop-in center for youth).
Participants: Teens ages 12 to 15
When: Every other Wednesday starting June 4 and ending October 8, 2025
Cost: Insurance or self-pay in Colorado
Facilitator:
Dr. Leslie Kille specializes in working thru a trauma-informed lens with youth, adults, families, and elders. She received her MSW through the University of South Florida and Educational Doctorate from The University of Sarasota. Dr. Kille has more than 25 years of experience providing therapeutic counseling services in mental health and substance use residential, Intensive Outpatient, hospice work and Outpatient community-based settings serving in the roles Clinical Director to licensed therapist.
