Alyssa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in the field since 2014, working with clients age 3-65+. She holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Denver, with a specialization in Children and Youth: Risks and Healthy Development. She also holds a certificate in Animal Assisted Social Work.

Alyssa believes we are all wired for connection and deserving of healthy and wholesome lives. With Alyssa, you or your child will work to heal parts of self that feel lost or broken and will learn the art and power of self-compassion, emotional insight, and acceptance. Alyssa will incorporate modalities like EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Parent Psychoeducation, and Play Therapy to achieve your, or your child’s, goals. Canine-assisted practice will also be incorporated where requested and appropriate. Alyssa’s main areas of focus include complex trauma, family disruption (specializing in domestic violence), attachment struggles (specializing in foster care and post-adoption difficulties), parenting support/psychoeducation, anxiety, and depression.

In her spare time, Alyssa enjoys anything that includes sunshine and fresh air! She can often be found exploring mountain trails with her husband, son and furry companions.
