Lindsay Woodward, LCPC

Lindsay Woodward is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Messiah College in 2017. During her internship, Lindsay worked in various clinical settings focusing on the treatment of eating disorders, including Monte Nido, New York’s residential, and partial hospitalization programs. She has since worked in outpatient settings, specializing in working with clients who experience disordered eating, body image concerns, and intrusive thoughts. Lindsay utilizes a Health At Every Size (HAES) approach that respects body diversity and seeks to restore the relationship between self and body through attuned eating and movement.

Lindsay provides brief and long-term psychotherapy to older children, adolescents, and adults. She also enjoys treating relationship issues, gender identity, life transitions, substance misuse, anxiety, depression, ASD, ADHD, hoarding, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. She helps people live more intentionally by exploring barriers to connection through processing underlying trauma, loss, grief, and anger. Lindsay is interested in working with couples and understands the intricacies of intimacy and sexuality. She is experienced with non-monogamous relationships and is an LGBTQIA aware provider.

Lindsay is a warm and grounded listener whose primary concern is for her clients to feel safe and seen. Her work draws from various evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy. She uses Psychodynamic and Jungian concepts to pull from early-lived experiences to examine patterns where one might feel stuck. Teaching skills to regulate emotions and feel more equipped navigating interpersonal conflicts is a priority. Lindsay incorporates techniques from Family Systems Therapy and Attachment Theory and strives to support clients in practicing self-compassion and mindfulness to recognize their strengths throughout the healing process.
