Kaitlyn Valan, PMHNP, helps teens, adults, and older adults throughout Delaware navigate mental health challenges with compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care. As a prescriber at LifeStance Health, she provides medication management for individuals experiencing conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, and depression, while also supporting those facing a wide range of additional mental health concerns. Kaitlyn believes that successful treatment begins with listening carefully, understanding each person’s unique experiences, and developing a personalized plan that supports both symptom relief and long-term well-being. Kaitlyn is particularly passionate about helping individuals manage ADHD, anxiety disorders, and depression. She understands how these conditions can affect relationships, work, school performance, self-esteem, and overall quality of life. Her approach focuses on thoughtful evaluation, collaborative treatment planning, and ongoing support to help patients build stability, resilience, and confidence as they work toward their goals. In her practice, Kaitlyn serves diverse populations, including women, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and first responders. She also works with individuals facing concerns such as bipolar disorder, PTSD and trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder, grief, life transitions, sleep disorders, women’s mental health concerns, and other psychiatric conditions. To complement medication management, she incorporates mindfulness-based strategies when appropriate, helping patients develop skills that support emotional balance and overall wellness. Outside of work, Kaitlyn enjoys discovering new restaurants and local events, exploring creative hobbies such as painting pottery, paint-by-numbers, and diamond painting, and spending time relaxing with her cats and a good book.
