Xavier Berrios helps patients across Florida find stability and relief through thoughtful, individualized medication management and supportive mental health care. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, he works with children, adolescents, teens, adults, and seniors to address conditions such as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder, tailoring treatment plans that reflect each person’s goals, symptoms, and life circumstances. His approach emphasizes collaboration, clinical precision, and creating a space where patients feel understood and empowered in their care. He is especially passionate about supporting individuals who have been recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital, helping them transition safely back into daily life with continuity of care and close monitoring. Xavier focuses on reducing the risk of relapse, improving medication effectiveness, and strengthening coping strategies during this critical period. He also incorporates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), CBT for insomnia, and faith-based treatment when aligned with a patient’s values, offering well-rounded support beyond prescriptions alone. Xavier has experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with autism spectrum disorders, LGBTQ+ communities, and military members and veterans. He also provides care in Spanish, helping expand access to quality mental health services for a broader range of patients. Outside of his clinical work, Xavier enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music, and exploring new places.
